Sikh Aid Foundation

If you head over toward Medical Enclave on Circular Road, you will find us at House Number 144. Amritsar is a big city with a lot of people needing a hand, and Sikh Aid Foundation is our way of trying to help out. We’ve been at this address for a while now. It’s a regular house, which makes it feel more like a home than an office. We spend a lot of time here sorting through things and planning how to get help to those who need it most. Amritsar is a place where community matters, and we feel that every day. Sometimes the phone doesn't stop ringing and other days it's quiet enough to actually get some paperwork done. We don't have a huge staff or a lot of expensive equipment. It is mostly just local folks who want to give back to the city that raised them. Circular Road can get pretty packed with cars, but once you step inside our gate, it’s a bit calmer. We try to keep things simple and honest. If someone needs something, we see if we can find a way to provide it. It isn't always easy and resources are often tight, but we make do with what we have. We are just people from the neighborhood trying to live up to the values we were taught growing up here in Punjab. It is hard work but it feels right to be doing it together.
