Sharma Karyana Store

We are based in the Main Bazaar of Govind Pura, right at Shop No. 3 near Purani Chungi. Being in a bazaar in Amritsar means there is never a dull moment. The street is always loud with scooters and people shopping. Our karyana store is where we spend most of our time. We sell things like lentils, sugar, soaps, and spices. We don't have a big staff, it is just us making sure everything is in order. Sometimes the deliveries arrive late and we have to move heavy sacks around, which is quite a workout. The customers are mostly people who live in the lanes around the bazaar. They come in for their monthly groceries or just a single item they ran out of. We just charge the usual prices and sell the stuff we get in every week. It is not a polished corporate office, it is a real shop with dust on the floor sometimes and a lot of bags to pack. We've seen many changes in the Purani Chungi area over the years, but our shop remains much the same. It is just a basic place to buy your daily needs. We open the shutters every morning and do our best to help everyone who walks in. It is a simple life in the middle of a busy market and we just keep on going day after day without any fuss or fancy talk. It is what we know.
