Sgtb Hospital Orthopaedic Department

If you head over toward the railway crossing in Amritsar, you’ll find us in the Civil Surgeon Building. We are the orthopaedic department of Sgtb Hospital. It’s an old building, right next to the crossing, so you can often hear the trains going by while we’re working. It’s a very busy part of town. We handle a lot of bone and joint issues here. Since we’re right by the railway and the main road, we get all sorts of cases coming through. It isn’t a glamorous place. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, and the hallways are usually full of people waiting. But we do our work honestly. Our doctors and nurses have seen it all, from simple breaks to things much more complicated. We don't have a fancy website or a PR team. We’re just a bunch of people working in a government-style building trying to fix people up so they can get back to their lives. Sometimes the wait is a bit long, but that’s the reality of a busy public hospital department in Amritsar. We just keep our heads down and focus on the patients who are sitting in the waiting area. It’s a practical, no-nonsense kind of place. You find us, you get your bones checked, and we do what we can. It’s rewarding to see people walk out on their own after being in a lot of pain when they first arrived.
