Satguru Thinners

Satguru Thinners is located at 22, Kashmir Plaza, right on the Batala Road. We are very close to the petrol pump, so people use that as a landmark to find us. We make thinners for paints and other industrial uses. The shop isn't much to look at from the outside, but we have what people need. I’ve been working here a long time and the smell of the chemicals doesn't even bother me anymore. We get all kinds of people coming in. Some are professional painters and others are just folks trying to fix up their own homes. We don’t have a big marketing budget or a mission statement. We just sell thinners. It’s a simple product but people need it. We try to keep the prices where folks can afford them. Being on Batala Road means there’s always something happening outside the door. It’s a lively place. We keep the counter cluttered with invoices and samples, but we know where everything is. We aren't trying to be a global brand. We just want to be the place people think of when they’re in the area and need a gallon of thinner. It’s a decent way to earn a living and we’ve built up some good relationships with the regulars who come by every week. Sometimes we even have time for a quick chat about the cricket scores while we pack things up.
