Sangam Shawls

Our place is in Balkalan, right next to the Dharm Khand on Majitha Road. It’s a bit out of the way, but it’s where we do all our work. Sangam Shawls is mostly about keeping people warm. We have a lot of wool and different materials piled up. The building isn't much to look at from the outside. Inside, it’s just rows of shawls and some basic machinery. Majitha Road can get quite busy with tractors and trucks. We’ve been here for several years now. It’s a family business, through and through. We don't spend money on marketing or fancy signs. Most of our customers come because they heard about us from someone else. We spend the winters working very hard. In the summer, things slow down a bit. We use that time to fix the machines and clean the storage area. It’s not a clean job, you get wool fibers all over your clothes. We don't mind it though. It’s what we know how to do. We don't have any corporate goals or big missions. We just want to make shawls that last a long time. My grandfather taught us the trade. We just keep doing what he did. It’s a simple process and we like it that way. We just try to be fair and keep the quality where it should be.
