Sandhu Life Care Hospital

Our place is located in Amritsar, specifically near Ekta Bhavan. It’s a decent-sized building, nothing too flashy, but it has plenty of room for what we need to do. I’ve been working here for several years now, and the routine is mostly the same every day. We open the doors early and let the air in before it gets too warm outside. The floors are made of that old-style tile that stays cool under your feet. Near the entrance, there’s a small desk where we take down names. We don’t use any complicated computer systems; it is mostly just notebooks and pens. Amritsar is a busy city, but our little pocket near Ekta Bhavan stays relatively calm compared to the Golden Temple area. We have a few trees outside that provide some shade for the people who come by scooter. Sometimes the neighbors come in just to say hello or ask for a glass of water. It feels more like a community center than a cold hospital environment. We don't have those bright white lights that hurt your eyes. Instead, we use softer bulbs that make the place feel a bit more like a home. There is always a lot of laundry to do, so you’ll often see sheets drying in the back area where the sun hits the most. It is just a regular job for us and we stay busy.
