Regain Our Glory Foundation

Our place is right at Chowk Hussainpura, very close to the post office in Amritsar. If you are familiar with the 143001 area, you probably pass by us quite often. The street outside is always full of people going to mail letters or handling their business at the post office. It can get a bit loud with the horns and the rickshaws, but that is just Amritsar for you. We have been in this neighborhood for some time now. The building is older but it serves its purpose for the foundation. Inside, it is simple and a bit cramped when everyone is there at once. We usually have the door open if the weather allows it. Sometimes the mailman stops in for a quick chat since he is right next door. There is no big sign or anything flashy, just a small nameplate on the door. We spend our mornings sorting through things and talking to whoever walks in. The floors are a bit worn out from all the foot traffic over the years. We do not have a fancy lobby or anything like that. It is just a regular office where we sit and work through our daily tasks. People from the surrounding streets know us by name, which makes it feel like a real part of the community here. It is a practical spot for what we do and it gets the job done. We often have to move piles of books around just to find a place to sit. It is a bit messy but we know where everything is.
