Our shop is at number 25 in Shastri Market on Maharani Road. It’s a very busy area with a lot of people looking for parts and repairs all day long. Rajpal Automobiles has been a part of this market for years. You can usually find us surrounded by boxes of spare parts and the smell of engine oil. It’s a bit of a maze inside with all the shelves reaching up to the ceiling. We don't really have a quiet moment until the sun goes down and the market starts to close up. People come in with all sorts of problems with their cars and we do our best to find what they need. Sometimes we have the part right there and other times we have to call around. The counter is old and scratched up from years of heavy metal parts being thrown on it. We drink a lot of tea while we work and talk to the regulars who stop by just to see what’s new. It’s a noisy, greasy environment but we wouldn't have it any other way. The traffic on Maharani Road can be a nightmare in the afternoons, but that’s just life in the city. We don't use any fancy computer systems for everything; a lot of it is still written down in big ledgers. It works for us and our customers seem to like it that way too.
