Raahat- A Hope For Strays Foundation is based at House Number 318 in Venus Valley. We are right near the Verka Milk Plant, so most people use that as a guide to find us. It’s a residential spot, which makes sense because we are always dealing with animals that need a bit of peace. The house is often a bit chaotic. You might hear dogs barking or see us carrying supplies in and out. It isn't a polished professional office by any means. There are leashes, food bowls, and medicine bottles scattered around on the tables. We started this because we couldn't just walk past the strays in our streets anymore. Venus Valley is a decent place to be based, and the neighbors have mostly gotten used to us and our four-legged guests. We don't have a big budget, so we do a lot of the work ourselves, from cleaning to feeding and everything in between. It’s messy work and we often go home with fur on our clothes and dirt under our nails. We don't have fancy marketing or a big team. It is just a few of us who really care about the animals in this part of town. Every day is different and sometimes it's really tough, but we just keep going. It’s a very practical, hands-on life here at Raahat.
