Prerna Speech And Hearing Clinic

Prerna Speech and Hearing Clinic is located near the Sultanwind Gate in Amritsar, right by the Thana B Division. It’s a historic part of the city, and the streets around here are always full of people and rickshaws. We’ve been in this location for many years, helping folks with their hearing and speech issues. We have a few rooms set up with special soundproofing for the hearing tests, which is necessary because of all the noise from the main gate area. We see a lot of children who are learning to speak and older people who are starting to lose their hearing. It’s a slow kind of work that takes a lot of patience from both the staff and the patients. We have some machines to test hearing and we also help people pick out hearing aids if they need them. The clinic isn't very big, just a front office and the testing rooms. We know the officers over at the Thana B Division and the local shopkeepers around the Sultanwind Gate. It feels like a small village inside the big city. We don't have any corporate branding or anything like that, just a simple sign outside. We spend our days doing these tests and talking to families about how to communicate better. It’s a steady job in a busy part of town, and we’re glad to be a part of it. We just take it one person at a time.
