You have to head up to the second floor of Queens Complex to find us at Shop No. 8. Being upstairs means we do not get as many random people walking in as the shops on the ground floor do, but we still stay busy enough. Onkar Electronics is where we handle a lot of circuit board repairs and work on television sets. The walls of our shop are lined with shelves full of old components and various tools we have gathered over the many years we have been here. It is a bit of a climb up the stairs, especially if you are carrying a heavy television, but most people manage it fine. The lighting in the complex is not the best, so we have extra bright lamps at our workstations so we can see what we are doing. We spend hours squinting at very small parts and soldering things back together. It is quiet work mostly, punctuated by the occasional sound of a test signal or a small radio playing in the background. We do not have a big staff here. It is just a few of us who have been doing this for a long time. Queens Complex is an older building, so it has its quirks, like the elevator that only works some of the time. We just keep our heads down and focus on the electronics. People bring their gear to us because they know we have seen many kinds of malfunctions.
