Nirmaljot Eye Hospital

You can find us on Mall Road in Amritsar, specifically near the Govt Girls School. It is a well-known spot, so it is usually easy for people to get to us at the Amritsar Gpo area. Being an eye hospital, we see a lot of people coming in squinting at the signs or holding their glasses. The street outside is always humming with activity because of the school nearby. We spend our mornings setting up the lenses and getting the testing rooms ready for the first batch of patients. It gets pretty bright in the lobby during the afternoon sun. We have a few doctors and the nursing staff who have been here through many seasons. We don't have a lot of bells and whistles in the building, just the stuff needed to check eyes and do surgeries. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to wait for the generator to kick in, which is just part of living in Amritsar. We see kids from the school sometimes, and older folks who have lived on Mall Road their whole lives. It’s a practical setup. We keep the files in cabinets and try to make sure we don't mix up the appointments. The days are long, but we just take it one patient at a time. It’s not a fancy corporate place, just a hospital where we focus on eyes and try to keep things running smoothly for everyone who comes in. We like the neighborhood here.
