New Devagan Multispecialty Hospital

Our hospital is located right on GT Road in the Chheharta area of Amritsar. Being on the main road means there’s always something happening outside, usually trucks or buses rumbling past our front door. It’s a multispecialty place, so we have different rooms for different things, but it’s all under one roof here. The building has been here for a while and shows its age in some spots, like the scuff marks on the baseboards or the faded paint on the stairs. We have a reception area where the phones usually ring a lot during the mid-morning rush. The staff mostly lives nearby in Chheharta, so we know the local shortcuts and the neighbors. There’s a small parking area out front, but it fills up fast with scooters and cycles. Inside, the air is usually a bit cooler than the street. We keep the floors mopped and the benches lined up for anyone waiting. It’s a functional place, nothing like those glassy buildings you see in the city center. We deal with all sorts of things throughout the day, from minor stuff to more serious visits. The back windows look out over some trees, which is nice when you need a break. We use a lot of paper forms still, so there are stacks of charts near the desk. It’s just how we run things. People come in, wait their turn, and we do what we can to help them out before they head back out.
