Narotam Singh Vohra Architect is situated over at 234, Green Avenue. It is a nice, established part of town, and I’ve been here for a long time. The office is basically part of the community here. I’ve lived and worked in this area for so many years that I know most of the houses on the street. It’s not a big corporate operation by any means. It’s more of a personal service where you deal directly with me. My workspace is usually filled with rolls of ammonia prints and various bits of stationery. I still like the feel of paper, though we use computers for the final stuff. Green Avenue is generally quiet, which helps when I need to focus on a difficult structural issue. I don't really have a polished "About Us" page because I prefer to let the buildings speak for themselves. Most of my day is spent talking to contractors, laborers, and clients who just want their project finished on time. I’ve seen all sorts of trends come and go, but I usually stick to what I know works. It’s a practical business. I don’t promise anything impossible. I just try to be honest about what can be done with a certain budget or a certain piece of land. People seem to appreciate that straightforwardness. It’s just me doing my thing in a neighborhood I care about, and that seems to be enough for most.
