If you know Majith Mandi, you know it’s a crowded place. That’s where M.B. Pharma is. It’s one of those old-school markets where the streets are narrow and there’s always someone hauling a sack of something past you. We don’t have a modern glass storefront. It’s more of an old building that’s been used for trade for a long time. The walls are thick, and it stays relatively cool inside even when the sun is beating down on the Mandi. We deal with pharmaceutical supplies, so there are boxes stacked almost to the ceiling in the back. It’s a bit of a maze sometimes. We don’t have fancy software to track everything; a lot of it is still written down in ledgers or kept in simple files. The noise from the market outside never really stops until late at night. You hear the shouting of vendors and the horns of motorcycles all day. Our staff has been with us forever, and we mostly just talk to the regulars who have been buying from us for years. It’s a very local way of doing business. No one here is worried about things like brand identity or anything like that. We just want to make sure the orders are right and the customers get what they need. It’s a messy, loud, and honest way to work, and we’re used to it by now.
