Master Print

Master Print is located in a narrow gali right opposite the Nandan Cinema in Amritsar. If you know the area, you know it’s always crowded and there’s a lot of energy from the people heading to the movies. Our shop is inside the lane, so it’s a bit tucked away from the main road. The sound of the printing machines is the constant background noise here. We have stacks of paper everywhere, and the smell of fresh ink is something you never quite lose. We do all kinds of printing work, and there’s usually a bit of a rush in the afternoons. Sometimes the power goes out, which is a real hassle, but we just wait it out and start back up as soon as we can. The shop floor is often stained with ink spills that we never quite managed to scrub off. We talk to all sorts of people who wander in from the street. It’s a small team here, and we’ve all learned how to fix the machines when they get stuck, which happens more often than we’d like. Working opposite Nandan Cinema means there’s always something to see out the front door. We aren’t a huge company, just a local print shop trying to keep up with the orders that come in. It’s a busy, cramped, and noisy way to spend the day, but we like it.
