Mahajan Confectionary

If you walk through the main market near the Amritsar Bus Stand, you will find us at Shirifpura. We have been operating this confectionery for years. It is a busy spot because of the buses coming and going all the time. We sell sweets, biscuits, and those little things travelers need before a long trip. The shop gets dusty sometimes with all the road traffic, but we try to keep the counters wiped down. Amritsar is a place where people love their food, so we have to stay on our toes. It is not a huge showroom, just a regular shop packed with boxes. My father used to help out here, and now I handle most of the daily stuff. We get a lot of regulars from the neighborhood and also plenty of strangers passing through. Sometimes the power goes out and we just sit there with a torch until it comes back. That is just how it goes here. We do not have any big posters or loud music. It is just us and the snacks. I spend a lot of time stocking the shelves when it is quiet. We do not do deliveries or anything fancy, people just walk in. The street can be a bit of a mess with the rickshaws, but we like being in the thick of it. It is a practical little business that serves its purpose for the community and for people catching the bus.
