About Esspee Shawls – Fashion & Trends in Amritsar
If you walk down Lawrence Road, you’ll find us at number 59. It’s a place that smells like wool and old wood most of the time. We’ve been handling shawls here for a long time, and the building definitely shows its age. The shelves are packed high with different patterns and colors, and sometimes it feels like the walls are closing in when a new shipment arrives. It’s a family-run kind of vibe, even for the people who aren't actually related. We drink tea together in the mornings before we start pulling items for the day’s orders. It’s not a high-tech warehouse. We still use old ledgers for a lot of things because it’s just easier for us to track that way. The floorboards creak when you walk near the back where we keep the heavier winter stuff. It can get a bit hectic during the colder months when everyone suddenly remembers they need something warm. We do our best to keep up, but sometimes we fall behind and have to stay late to catch up. Nobody complains much. We just put on the radio and get to work. It’s a cozy spot, even if it is a bit cluttered with boxes and loose threads. We know most of the people who walk past our door every day. It’s just a normal part of the neighborhood, really. Nothing fancy about it, just us and a lot of warm fabric to keep people comfortable when the temperature drops.
