Kumaran Art Gallery

Kumaran Art Gallery is situated at 128 Kumaran Complex, right on 100 Feet Road. It’s a busy street, so we get quite a bit of foot traffic and people just stopping in to see what’s on the walls. We’ve been here for a while, and the place has a bit of a lived-in feel to it. You’ll see canvases leaning against the walls and frames piled up in the corners. It’s not a sterile, white-cube kind of gallery. It’s more of a workshop where art actually happens and gets put together. We spend a lot of time helping people pick out the right frames or talking about the different pieces we have in stock. Some of the art is from local artists, and some of it is stuff we’ve collected over time. It’s a bit of a mix. We don’t have a lot of fancy lighting or high-tech displays. We just use what we have. Sometimes it’s a bit dusty, but that’s just part of having a shop on a main road like 100 Feet Road. We’re just a small crew here, and we like the personal touch of talking to customers directly. You won’t find any corporate attitude here. We just enjoy the work and the people who come through the door. It’s a nice way to spend the day, surrounded by colors and frames, even when the traffic outside gets a bit much. We just keep the doors open and see who walks in.
