Kuldip Engineering & Foundry Works

Sarhali Road is where you’ll find our workshop. Kuldip Engineering & Foundry Works has been operating out of this same spot for quite some time now. It’s a hot place to work, especially in the summer with the furnaces going. There’s always the sound of metal hitting metal and the hum of the blowers. We’re usually covered in soot by lunch, but that’s the nature of foundry work. It’s not a place for anyone who likes to keep their clothes clean. Most of us here have been doing this since we were young. We learned from the older guys who are mostly retired now. We make parts that people need for their machines, nothing too complicated but it has to be done right. The floor is concrete and it’s seen better days, cracked here and there from moving heavy molds around. We don't have a receptionist or a waiting room. If you want to talk to us, you just walk in and find someone who isn't currently pouring metal. We keep a pot of tea going in the corner of the shop. It’s a tough job but there’s a sense of satisfaction when a pour goes perfectly. We just keep our heads down and do the work day after day. It is how we have always done things here and we don't see any reason to change it.
