Global Medi Linkers

Katra Sher Singh is a busy spot and our shop, Global Medi Linkers, is right in the middle of it at number 40 in Guru Ram Dass Market. Every morning starts with moving the crates and clearing the narrow path for people to pass through. It is a medicine market, so there is always a lot of movement with people carrying boxes or checking lists. The shop itself is packed with supplies from floor to ceiling. Sometimes it feels like there isn't enough room for two people to stand behind the counter, but we manage. The walls are lined with shelves that hold everything from basic stuff to more specialized items. You can hear the sounds of the market all day long, mostly people talking and the occasional cart being pushed over the uneven floor. We don't have much time for sitting around because there is always a delivery arriving or a phone ringing with someone asking about a particular stock item. It gets quite hectic around noon when everyone is trying to get their orders sorted. By the afternoon, the tea guy comes around and that is usually our only break. We just focus on getting the right boxes to the right people. It is a lot of hard work and long hours, but that is just how life goes in Guru Ram Dass Market.
