Kapoor General Store

Kapoor General Store is located in Shashtri Nagar along Majitha Road in Amritsar. Our address is 143001 and we are directly opposite the Kali Mata Mandir. Being across from the mandir is quite busy, especially on Tuesdays and during festival times when many people come to offer prayers. We have been in this spot for a long time, serving the people who live around Majitha Road. The shop is a traditional general store where we keep a little bit of everything. You can find soaps, oils, snacks, and small household items on our shelves. The building is an older style with high ceilings that help keep it a bit cooler during the Amritsar heat. I usually sit near the front so I can greet everyone who walks in. We don't use any digital payment systems or computers; it is all cash and manual entries in our ledger. My nephew helps me out when the crowd from the temple gets too large for me to handle alone. We don't have any flashy signs or advertisements. People know us because we’ve been here for so long. It is just a basic shop where we try to provide what is needed at a fair price. We enjoy being a part of the Shashtri Nagar neighborhood and talking to the people who stop by every day.
