Jaideep Engineers

Our shop is at No. 6, Gobind Nagar. It isn't a very large place, but we manage to fit everything we need inside. Jaideep Engineers has been a part of this street for a long time. When you walk in, the first thing you notice is the smell of machine oil and cut metal. We have our workbenches lined up against the walls. Each of us has our own set of tools that we’ve gathered over the years. Some are shiny and new, others are rusted but still the ones we reach for first. Gobind Nagar is a decent area. It gets a bit crowded on the weekends when people are out running errands. We don't have a website or anything like that. People mostly just know we are here. We start work early while the air is still a bit cool. We don't talk much while we are working; everyone just knows what their job is. There is a small window at the back that lets in a little bit of breeze. On slow days, we might spend some time cleaning the machines or organizing the bolts and nuts. It’s honest work. We don't try to impress anyone with big words. We just take the drawings or the broken parts people bring us and we do our best with them. Then we lock up and go home to our families. It’s a simple routine we have followed for years.
