Lal Chand & Sons

We are located at Shop No. 54 in the IDH Market. It’s right near the bus stand, which makes it a very busy area almost all the time. Being near the bus stand means there are always people walking past and a lot of noise from the engines and the crowds. Lal Chand & Sons is a family-run kind of place. We’ve been in this shop for many years now. It’s small, but we’ve made use of every inch of space we have. There are shelves piled high with stuff, and sometimes it takes a minute to find exactly what a customer needs, but we usually know where everything is hidden. The IDH Market is an old place, and our shop has that lived-in feel to it. We don't have air conditioning, just a couple of old fans that hum all day. It gets pretty hot in the summer, but we just keep the water jug full and keep going. People stop by on their way to catch a bus or when they’ve just arrived in town. It’s a convenient spot for them, and for us, it’s just where we work every day. We don’t do any big marketing or have a fancy website. Our name is on the board outside, and that’s about it. We just talk to the people who come in and try to help them out as best as we can. It’s a simple life, running a shop in a busy market like this. We just keep the doors open.
