Our workshop is sitting at Plot Number J 21/116A, which is over in Kot Mit Singh. We are right on Taran Road, very close to the railway crossing. You can always tell when a train is coming because the whole place shakes just a little bit and the signal bells start ringing. It is a noisy spot, but we have gotten used to it over the years. We spend our days working on grinders and various machine parts. The space is filled with tools, wrenches, and heavy metal components. There is a lot of grease and dust, but that is just part of the job. We have a small crew of guys who know their way around the equipment. We do not have a lot of fancy decorations on the walls, just some old calendars and maybe a few notes pinned up about pending work. When the crossing is closed, the traffic on Taran Road backs up right in front of our door, and we see all kinds of people waiting on their scooters. It is a good spot because everyone passes by eventually. We usually have our lunch sitting on some crates or whatever is handy. It is not a glamorous business, but it keeps us busy from morning till evening. We have been at this address for a long time and do not plan on moving.
