We are based out of Sahni Market, which is really close to the main Bus Stand in Amritsar. Our focus is usually on the Pathankot side and the hills, which is why we picked this spot. Being near the bus stand means we are always around people who are looking to move or travel somewhere new. The market itself is quite old and has that classic Amritsar feel to it. Our office is a small room where we keep all our paperwork and maps. It gets a bit dusty because of the road outside, but we don't mind much. We spend a lot of our time talking to drivers who are coming back from the mountains or getting ready to head up there. It is a different kind of pace here, always waiting for the next bus to arrive or the next group of tourists to show up. We don't have any fancy brochures or big advertisements. Usually, people just see our sign when they are walking from the bus stand and stop in to ask about prices or routes. The summers are the busiest for us because everyone wants to get away from the heat and head towards Himachal. During those months, we are barely sitting down. It is hard work but we have been doing it long enough that it feels natural. We just stay here in Sahni Market and wait for the next traveler.
