Gurunanak Provision

Pathanpura is where I have my provision store. It is right on the Main Road. You can find us near the Zee Mount Litera School. The school kids come by in the afternoon to buy snacks or small chocolate bars. Gurunanak Provision is a typical neighborhood store. We have big sacks of rice and wheat flour sitting on the floor. I spend the morning weighing out sugar and pulses for the local customers. The Main Road is always noisy with buses and cars going past. I like the spot because it is easy for people to stop their bikes and pick up what they need for dinner. The shelves are packed with biscuits, soaps, and tea powder. I have an old fan that wobbles a bit when it is turned on high. Pathanpura is a good place to be. I have known many of the families around here for many years. They come in to chat as much as they do to shop. Sometimes my son helps me out in the evenings when it gets really busy with people coming home from work. We don't have a computer here. I just use a notepad and a pen to write down what people owe me. The school being nearby means there is a lot of energy in the area during the day. It is a bit dusty because of the traffic on the main road, but I keep the shop as clean as possible.
