Gurpreet Hospital

Gurpreet Hospital is located right on the 100 Ft. Road. It is a wide road, so there is always a lot of dust and wind blowing past the front entrance. We have been here for a long time, watching the buildings around us go up one by one. The hospital itself is a straightforward building. We have the usual stuff like beds, some monitors, and a small area for people to sit while they wait for news. The floors are cleaned every morning, but with people coming in and out all day, it’s hard to keep them perfect. Our nurses are usually running around with trays or checking on patients in the back rooms. It gets pretty hectic during the afternoon shift change. We don't have any of those big fancy cafes you see in the new city hospitals. Just a small corner where you can get a cup of water. The windows look out onto the street, so you can see the trucks and cars zooming by. Sometimes we stand there for a minute just to see the sunset. The neighborhood knows us well. Most of the people who come here live within a few miles. It is a busy life, and the work never really stops because there is always someone needing something. We just keep the lights on and do the tasks that need doing, day in and day out. It is hard work but it is ours.
