Gayatri Farm

Gayatri Farm is located out on Fatehrgarh Churian Road. We are pretty close to the Pioneer School, so we hear the school bells and the kids playing sometimes during the day. Amritsar is a big place, but out here it feels a bit more open, though the road gets busy with traffic. We spend most of our time out on the land or in the small outbuildings we have. Farming isn't really a nine-to-five job, so someone is usually around doing something even on the weekends. We have a few different things growing depending on what time of year it is. The soil here is decent if you take care of it. We don't have a big corporate office or anything like that, just the farm and a place to keep the tools and the harvest. Sometimes the weather doesn't cooperate and we have to scramble to cover things up or fix a fence that blew down. It's just us working the ground. We sell what we can and try to keep the place looking somewhat tidy, though it's a farm, so there’s always a bit of mud or straw somewhere. People from the city sometimes stop by when they’re driving past Pioneer School. We’ve been on this patch of land for a good while now and we know the rhythms of the seasons. It’s a simple life but it keeps us busy enough.
