Dridhsankalp Foundation

Finding us isn't too hard if you know Rishi Nagar. We are up on the second floor at C-141. It’s a bit of a climb up the stairs every morning, especially when we are carrying supplies or heavy bags of mail. The building is older, but it holds up well enough for our needs. From the windows, you can see the rooftops of the nearby houses and the trees along the street. Our space here at Dridhsankalp Foundation is mostly just one large room where we keep everything. There’s a table where we sit to discuss what’s happening and a couple of computers that aren't the newest models. We spend a lot of time just talking to folks who come by. It stays quiet mostly, which is good for focusing on the paperwork. Sometimes the local kids play in the street below and we hear them while we’re typing. We don't have a receptionist or anything like that. Whoever is closest to the door usually answers it. We try to keep things simple. There’s a small kitchen area where we make tea. It’s an important part of the day, honestly. Without tea, not much would get finished around here. The shelves are packed with folders and old registers that we’ve kept for years. We don’t like throwing things away if they might be useful later. It’s not a flashy place, but it serves its purpose for what we do. We’ve been in this spot for a bit and it feels like home now. Just a regular office in a regular neighborhood.
