Devgan Book Depot

We are located right here on Batala Road, tucked into Street No-1 near the Gokul Vihar area. Most people know the spot because it is so close to Bik High School, so we see a lot of students and parents walking past every single day. The shop is in Gali Banke Bihari, and honestly, it gets a bit crowded during the morning hours when school starts. We have been running things from this little corner for a while now, just keeping up with whatever people in the neighborhood need. There is always a lot of dust from the main road, so we spend a good chunk of our time just wiping down the counters and keeping the shelves looking somewhat decent. It is not a very big space, but we try to pack in as much as we can so nobody has to go too far to find what they are looking for. Sometimes the electricity goes out in the afternoon, and we just sit outside on the steps and chat with the neighbors until it comes back on. Dealing with the school crowd keeps us on our toes, especially when exams are coming up and everyone is in a hurry. We just do our work, talk to the regulars, and try to make sure things run smooth enough. It’s a simple life here in Gokul Vihar, nothing too fancy, just the daily routine of opening up early and closing when the street gets quiet at night.
