Our office is at House Number 4197 in Bank Colony, which is part of Bhagwan Nagar. It is a residential neighborhood where people have started running small businesses out of their homes. We have been here for a while now, focusing on the import and export side of things. The colony is usually quiet during the day when everyone is at work, but it picks up in the evening. Our setup is very simple. We have a desk for the computer, a few chairs for visitors, and lots of shelves for our files. We spend a lot of time looking at shipping rates and trying to figure out the best routes for moving goods. It isn't very exciting work, but it is what we do. Ludhiana is known for its industry, so being in this part of town helps us stay close to where the action is. We don't have a big marketing department or anything like that. People usually find us through word of mouth or because they know someone we have worked with before. The office is a bit cramped because we have so many documents, but we manage to keep it somewhat organized. We usually start the day with a quick meeting to see what needs to go out first. It is just a regular job for us and we try to do it as honestly as we can without any fuss or extra noise.
