Aneja Brothers

Aneja Brothers is located in Shastri Market, specifically in the Kucha Nijjaran lane. This is one of those old markets where the lanes are so thin you can barely walk past someone without saying hello. It is a historic kind of place. Our shop is packed from floor to ceiling. We have been here in Kucha Nijjaran for a long time, and the building shows its age. The wooden shelves are a bit warped from the weight of the goods we keep. Every morning, we have to move some of the displays out onto the lane just to make room for us to stand inside. It is a busy atmosphere with all the other shopkeepers nearby. We have known our neighbors for decades. The light in the lane is dim even at noon because the buildings are so close together. We use old ledgers to keep track of things sometimes, though we try to use the computer too. It is a family thing, so there is always someone around to help out or share a meal in the back. The walls have old photos and some religious calendars. We do not bother with fancy renovations because the market has its own character that we do not want to change. It is noisy, crowded, and often dusty, but it is home to us. We just handle the daily trade and chat with the regulars.
