Wazir Singh Yarns Pvt. Ltd. is located at Madan House, which sits right opposite the Radisson Blue on Airport Road in Amritsar. It’s a well-known spot because of the hotel across the street, making it easy for people to find us. We deal with yarns, so our space is often filled with bags and cones of different threads. Being on the Airport Road means we see a lot of travelers and traffic passing by all the time. The building, Madan House, has been our base for a long while now. Inside, it’s mostly about the yarn—checking the quality, weighing it, and getting it ready for the weavers or manufacturers who buy from us. It can get a bit cluttered with all the stock, but we try to keep some kind of order so we don't get confused. We have a few staff members who have been with the company for decades, and they really know their stuff when it comes to textiles. It’s a family-run kind of feel, even though we are a private limited company. We don’t spend much on decorating the place because we’d rather have more room for the yarn. The Punjab textile scene is pretty competitive, but we just focus on what’s happening inside our four walls. We deal with the local mills and sometimes people from further away. It’s steady work that keeps us connected to the history of the city.
