Ahuja Meenu Amritlal Architect

My office is tucked away at 4-A, Mohinder Colony, right off Court Road. It’s a fairly central spot, which makes it easy for clients to find me, even if the parking on Court Road can be a bit of a headache sometimes. Ahuja Meenu Amritlal Architect is a personal practice where I handle most of the work myself. I’ve been doing this for quite some time, and I’ve learned that people mostly just want a house that works well for their family. I don't use a lot of fancy jargon when I talk to people. We just sit down at the table and look at the space they have. I spend a lot of time drawing and then redrawing when things don't fit quite right. Mohinder Colony is a good place to work from because it’s a bit shielded from the main road noise. I have a lot of books on my shelves that I’ve collected over the years, mostly about old buildings and how they were made. Sometimes a client comes in with a very specific idea from a magazine, and we have to figure out how to make it work with their actual budget and the local climate. It’s a lot of practical problem-solving. I’m usually here until late in the evening getting things finished up. It’s just the way the work goes. I like the quiet of the office after everyone else has gone home for the day.
