Reliance Defence & Engineering Limited

Down in Village Rajula, near the Pipavav Port, you will find our site. We are Reliance Defence & Engineering Limited, and our post address is Ucchaya. This is a very large area out by the water, quite far from the big cities. Most of us here are focused on the heavy work that comes with being near a port. There are ships, big metal structures, and a lot of engineering equipment all over the place. It’s not the kind of office where people wear suits every day. It’s more about boots and hard hats because there is always something being built or fixed. The wind from the sea can be quite strong sometimes, and it carries the salt everywhere. We work according to the shifts and the needs of the projects happening at the port. It is a massive operation, but on the ground, it is just groups of people getting things done. We live and work in this part of Gujarat, and it’s a quiet life outside of the shipyard. Everything moves at its own pace here. We don't have a lot of visitors unless they have business at the port, so it’s mostly just the staff and the locals from Rajula. The shipyard is massive and there is always some noise from the welding or the cranes moving. We just take it one step at a time and focus on the job in front of us. It is a big place with a lot of steel and we keep it moving one day at a time.
