Mahalaxmi Art Furniture Rajula

Out here in Rajula, things move a bit slower than in the big cities. Mahalaxmi Art Furniture has been sitting here for quite some time. We spend our days working with wood and making different types of furniture for homes around here. It’s a lot of sawdust and the smell of polish most days. If you walk into the workshop, you’ll see pieces of wood stacked up against the walls waiting to be cut. We don't use many big machines; it’s mostly hand tools and a lot of patience. Sometimes a chair takes longer than expected because the wood doesn't want to cooperate. That’s just how it is when you’re making things by hand. The name Mahalaxmi is something we hold dear, and we try to do right by it. People from Rajula come to us when they need a new bed or a cupboard that will last them many years. We don't have a big showroom with bright lights. Most of our finished pieces are just sitting in the front area where people can see them. It gets dusty because of the road, so we’re always wiping things down. We aren't looking to become some huge company. We just want to keep making good furniture for the people in our town. Every piece we finish feels like a small win. It’s honest work, and it keeps the kitchen fire burning.
