Parth Hotel

Our hotel is located in the Bhagwatipara area of Khambha, right on the Una Road. Since we are on a main road like that, we get a lot of people driving through toward Amreli or the coast. It is a very basic place where travelers can stop and take a rest. The building has been here for a while and it looks like a typical roadside stop. We have some rooms for staying and a small area where people can sit. The wind blows quite a bit across the open road and brings in some dirt, so we are always sweeping the front steps. In the evenings, it gets a bit dark out here as there aren't many streetlights on this stretch of Una Road. We keep a small light on outside so people know we are open. It’s usually just a couple of us working here, doing everything from checking people in to making sure the water is running. We don't have a big lobby or elevators or anything like that. It’s just stairs and plain rooms. Sometimes the bus stops nearby and a bunch of people get off at once, making it very hectic for an hour. Then it goes back to being quiet again. We just stay here and wait for the next traveler to pull over. It’s a simple life out here in Khambha and we just take each day as it comes without much fuss.
