Mehta Clinic

Our clinic is right at Giriraj Chowk in Jafarabad. We are directly opposite the State Bank of India, which is probably the easiest way to explain where we are. Everyone knows the bank, so they just look across the road and see our sign. Jafarabad is in the Amreli district, and it can get quite dusty and hot here. We have a simple setup at the clinic to deal with that. It’s not a fancy place by any means. We have some sturdy chairs and a desk that has seen better days, but it does the job. Being at Giriraj Chowk means there is always a lot of traffic and people walking by. It can be a bit noisy with the horns and the street vendors, but we are used to it by now. We see a lot of people from the town and even some who come in from the surrounding villages in the district. They come in for fevers, minor injuries, or just to get some medicine. We don't have a big staff, so we do most of the work ourselves, from cleaning to answering the phone. It’s a very hands-on way to run a clinic. We don't have a website or anything like that; we just rely on people seeing us across from the bank. It’s been this way for a long time and it works for the folks here in Jafarabad. We just focus on seeing the patients and making sure they get what they need.
