Kuber Kirana Bhandar

Kuber Kirana Bhandar is located in the Somnath area of Veraval, very close to the famous Somnath Mandir. Having the temple nearby means we see a lot of pilgrims and tourists every day. We sell the basic groceries that local families need, along with things like bottled water or snacks for travelers. Our shop is small with a low ceiling, so it gets crowded quickly if a few people enter at once. The sea is close by, so the air is always salty. We have to be careful with how we store metal tins so they don't get rusty. Our day starts very early to serve the people going for morning prayers at the mandir. Life is simple running a kirana store like this. No fancy barcodes or scanning machines are used here; we just know the prices and use a regular scale. Outside, there is a small wooden bench where local men sit and chat about the news. We have been part of this community for a long time. Even though the town has grown with more tourists over the years, our shop stays pretty much the same. It is a reliable place for the people of Veraval to get what they need. We just try to provide what people are looking for and keep the shelves stocked as best as we can.
