D.B.Barodia & Co. is located right inside the Ultratech Cement Limited township. We are at F-212 in Kovaya. It is quite a way out in the Amreli district, specifically in the Zafrabad taluka. Living and working in a township is a bit different than being in a big city. Everything is right here. The office is basically a small room where we keep all our records and handle the daily paperwork. There is a lot of dust because of the cement plant nearby, so we are always cleaning off the desks. It is a quiet life for the most part. We see the same faces every day at the township canteen or on the roads. Our work keeps us busy enough, mostly focusing on the things happening right here on the site. We don't have a big staff, just a few people who have been here for years. You get used to the rhythm of the machines in the distance. When we aren't at our desks, we are probably walking around the township or heading into Amreli for supplies. It is a very practical way to live. We don't have any big corporate goals, we just make sure the work at F-212 gets done and everyone stays on track with the schedule. It's just simple, local work.
