Chirag Medical Agency

Our place, Chirag Medical Agency, is at No. 121 in the White House building. We are right opposite the S.T. Depot, so we hear the buses coming and going at all times of the day and night. It’s a very busy spot to be in because of the depot. People are always rushing around with bags and luggage, and sometimes they pop in while they are waiting for their ride. The White House isn't actually white anymore, it’s faded a bit over the years, but everyone still calls it that. Inside at No. 121, we have our shelves lined up with all sorts of medical supplies. It can get a bit cramped when a big delivery comes in and we have to stack boxes in the aisles until we can find a spot for them. We spend a lot of time just checking labels and making sure nothing is expired. The dust from the bus depot means we have to wipe down the counters several times a day. We don’t have a big staff, just a couple of us who know where everything is kept. It’s a lot of standing and walking back and forth in a small space. We take turns going for tea across the street when it isn't too crowded. It’s a simple life, just running the agency and watching the buses pull in and out of the depot all day.
