Balaji Handicraft

We are situated on Jalaram Temple Road in Savarkundla. It’s a well-known street because of the temple, so we get a lot of foot traffic from people visiting for prayers. Our shop is where we make and sell different kinds of handicrafts. Savarkundla isn't a massive city, so things move a bit slower here compared to the bigger hubs, which suits us just fine. We spend our mornings setting out the items and cleaning up the dust that seems to settle on everything overnight. Most of what we sell is made by hand, so no two pieces are exactly the same. You might find a small scratch here or a slight wobble there, but that’s just how handmade things are. We don't have a website or any fancy marketing stuff; we just rely on people walking by and liking what they see through the window. Sometimes we sit outside on a stool and chat with the neighbors while we work on a new piece. It’s a very local way of doing business. The shop is small and filled to the ceiling with carvings and trinkets. We’ve been on Jalaram Temple Road for years, and we’ve seen the street change a lot, but our little corner stays pretty much the same. We just keep making our crafts and hope the people who buy them find a good place for them in their homes. It’s a simple life and we like it.
