Ajanta Icecream Private Limited is a family-run thing out here in Savarkundla. We are located in Gandhi Society, right across from the ice cream village area. It is a quiet part of Amreli, but things get very busy for us when the weather gets hot. We do not have a giant factory with robots. Most of what we do involves a lot of hands-on work with the freezers and the ingredients. The address is care of Prakashkumar A. Gohil, who has been part of this for a long time. We are not looking to be the biggest ice cream company in India; we just want to make stuff that people in our town like to eat. Sometimes the power goes out, which is a real worry when you are dealing with frozen goods, so we have got backups and we stay alert. It is a bit of a messy job, honestly. There is always milk or sugar somewhere it should not be, but we clean up as we go. We do not use fancy words to describe what we do. We just make ice cream and sell it. The village atmosphere is nice, and everyone knows everyone else. It is not like the big cities where everything is rushed. We take our time to make sure the batches are right. It is a simple life, working with the local dairy and keeping the machines running. We are just happy to be a part of the local scene.
