Shriram Clinic

Shriram Clinic is right on the Main Road in Badnera. It is a very convenient location because it is near the bus stop. People can just hop off and walk a few steps to reach us. The street is always loud with the sounds of horns and people shouting, but once you step inside, it feels a bit calmer. The clinic is a long, narrow space. We have the waiting area in the front and the consultation area in the back. There are some old framed pictures on the wall that have been there for twenty years. The chairs are mismatched—some are plastic and some are wood. We keep a small radio on the shelf that plays local news or music at a low volume. Badnera is a busy town with the train station nearby, so we get a lot of different people. Some are just passing through and need something quick. Most are our regulars who live in the narrow lanes behind the Main Road. We don’t have a big sign outside, just a simple painted board. The lighting is a bit dim in the back, so we have a desk lamp that we use for writing. Everything is kept in paper files stacked up on the shelves. It’s a bit of a mess sometimes, but we know where everything is. We stay open late into the evening because that’s when most people finish their work and can finally come by. It’s a steady, busy life.
