Shri Mani Ushnai Shoping Centre

Shri Mani Ushnai Shoping Centre is right there on the Murtizapur Main Road in the HO area. Because we are on the main road we get a lot of people just wandering in to see what we have or to ask for directions. The shop floor is always a bit disorganized because we try to keep so many different things in stock for the local people. We don't have those fancy display cases you see in the big city malls. Instead we just use simple shelves and hooks to hang things up where they can be seen. The front of the shop is mostly open to the street so the dust from the road comes in quite easily. We spend a lot of time with the duster trying to keep the merchandise clean. On market days it gets extremely crowded and the noise from the traffic outside is almost deafening. We have a small counter where we sit to handle the payments and it is usually covered in little notes and pens. The floor is just plain cement which is easy to sweep at the end of the day. We have a couple of fans that wobble a bit when they are on high speed but they keep us cool enough. It is a very basic way to run a shop but it has been working for us. Most of our customers are regular folks from around the neighborhood who we know by name.
