Down at Patwa Chowk in Amravati, you’ll find us at Safi Tution Classes. Being right in the 444601 zip code area means we are in a pretty busy spot. The noise from the chowk usually filters in through the windows, but the students have learned to ignore the honking and the street sounds. We’ve been in this specific location for a long time. The stairs leading up to our rooms are a bit steep and narrow, so we always remind everyone to take their time. Inside, the setup is very basic. We have rows of benches that have seen a lot of use. Some of them have names scratched into the wood from years ago. We don’t have an air conditioner, just a few ceiling fans that do their best during the summer months. It gets quite warm, but we just keep the water pot filled and keep going. There isn’t a formal front desk or a waiting room for parents. They usually just wait outside or come in and stand by the wall if they are early. We don’t do any flashy advertising. Most of our students come to us because their older siblings did. It’s a local operation through and through. We handle the registrations ourselves in a big ledger book that stays on the main desk. It’s a bit old-fashioned, but it works for us. We just want to provide a place where kids can study without too much fuss or extra cost for the families.
