Ms Shradha Food Processing

We have been here in Borgaon Wasu Village for a while now. It is a small village in the Chikhli Taluka of Buldana District. The Nagpur Pune National Highway is right nearby, so you see lots of trucks and buses passing by all day long. We set up Ms Shradha Food Processing to handle the crops and food items coming in from the local area. It is not a fancy place at all. It is just a building with some machines and people from the neighborhood working together. Most of our days start quite early before the sun gets too hot. We spend a lot of our time cleaning, sorting, and checking on things. The Chikhli Taluka area is mostly agricultural, so we are right in the middle of where the food grows. Sometimes the power goes out, but we just manage and keep going. People know where we are because we are so close to the highway. It gets a bit dusty inside and out. We just keep our heads down and do the work that needs doing. There is quite a lot of manual labor involved in food processing, like lifting heavy bags and making sure the packing is done right. It gets noisy inside when the machines are on. We do not have a big office, just a small desk in the corner. You can hear the traffic from the road constantly. My family lives nearby, so I just walk over to the site. (252 words)
