Indira Bahuuddeshiya Shikanhan Sanstha College Of Engineering

You can find us right in front of the Heart Care Center, tucked behind Amravati University. It’s a bit of a specific spot, but most people in the area know where the university ends and our gate starts. We are Indira Bahuuddeshiya Shikanhan Sanstha, a name that's quite a mouthful, so most just call us the engineering college. The building is always full of students rushing to their next lecture or hanging out near the entrance when they should probably be in the lab. It’s a typical college atmosphere, loud and a bit chaotic during the exam months. We have classrooms that have seen a lot of students come and go over the years. The desks are scratched, and the chalkboards are always dusty. It isn’t a high-tech glass building like you see in the movies, but it works for what we need. The staff room is usually a mess of papers and old tea biscuits. We spend a lot of time talking about the syllabus and making sure the machines in the workshops are actually running. Being so close to the heart center means it stays relatively busy on the road outside. We just try to keep things moving and make sure the kids learn something useful before they head out to find jobs. It’s just a local place for learning, nothing more and nothing less than that really. Some days the power goes out and we all just wait in the shade until it comes back.
