You can find us right near the Post Office in the Station Area of Murtizapur. It’s a busy part of town with people always rushing to catch a train or mailing stuff out. We’ve been operating from this spot for quite a bit. The main thing we do is make big blocks of ice for the local shops and the vendors who need to keep things cold. It’s a bit of a messy job, honestly. There is water everywhere and the rubber boots we wear are always damp. We start early in the morning when it’s still a bit dark out to get the first batch ready. The machinery is old but it works well enough for what we need. People come by with their carts or small trucks to pick up their orders. Sometimes we have to help them lift the heavy blocks, which is a good workout for the arms. It isn't a fancy office or anything like that. It’s just a workspace with heavy doors and cold rooms. Being so close to the station means there is always noise from the tracks and the whistles blowing. We just keep our heads down and focus on the freezing process. It takes time for the water to turn solid, so there is a lot of waiting around and checking the gauges on the tanks. We aren't trying to do anything big, just making sure the ice is ready for the morning rush.
